What Does It Mean to Be Technologically Competent?

It is no longer acceptable for attorneys to avoid understanding and using new technology – they are professionally obligated to do so. But what does that mean in practice? At the recent IAPP 2019 Global Privacy Summit, attorneys and privacy professionals discussed how to apply privacy principles to the ABA requirement of technical competence. The panel included insight from privacy attorneys at Carbonite, Western Digital, Latham & Watkins and White & Case.
