Can GDPR Hinder AI Made in Europe?

One year after the GDPR became enforceable, it is clear that the landmark law is having repercussions around the globe, including potentially hindering Europe’s development and use of artificial intelligence. In this guest article, Gibson Dunn partner Ahmed Baladi discusses the impact of the GDPR on the use and development of AI in Europe and offers possible solutions to the challenges presented by the regulation’s applicability to this technology.
