A Glimpse at the New Cayman Islands Data Protection Law

The Cayman Islands Data Protection Law, now in force, provides a framework of rights and duties designed to give individuals greater control over their personal data, in line with principles found in other laws around the globe. In a guest article, Sailaja Alla, Peter Colegate and David Lee, attorneys at Appleby, explain the relevant provisions of the new law, its effect on fund managers and strategies for compliance.
