Tips From Ponemon/Experian Survey on Building an Incident Response Plan That Fosters Confidence

Is your company ready for a big data breach? In a comprehensive survey, sponsored by Experian and conducted by the Ponemon Institute, most respondents said that they are investing more in security, but their confidence in the effectiveness of breach response is lagging. The Cybersecurity Law Report spoke with Michael Bruemmer, vice president of data breach resolution and consumer protection at Experian, about the study results, best practices for breach response plans, the frequency of different types of threat vectors, communicating with the C-suite and the board, and the obstacles companies are facing when it comes to GDPR and CCPA compliance.
