Senior Commerce Official Discusses Supply Chain Security and Cyber Policy

Senior Commerce Department official John Costello recently offered insights into his department’s evolving security role and the goals of the pending information and communications technology supply chain rule. Multiple business groups have pushed back on the Commerce Department’s pending rule. In this article, we distill Costello’s comments, made during a fireside chat with Mayer Brown partner David Simon, including his perspective on the current economic and threat landscape and how supply chain risk affects U.S. companies.
