GDPR Lives On in the U.K. Post-Brexit

Although the U.K. is no longer subject to the jurisdiction of the E.U. post-Brexit, the GDPR may be more germane to U.K. businesses now than it was before. In this guest article, Seddons partner Alexander Egerton explores the post-Brexit relevance of the GDPR, how the requirement for an E.U. representative works and Brexit's impact on the ICO as the “one-stop shop.” He also provides three data privacy steps U.K. companies can take now given the change in the regulatory landscape.
