Complying With NYC’s New Biometrics Law

A new law regulating biometrics is in effect for New York City, the latest municipality to restrict what companies can do with this now commonly collected data. The city’s biometric data protection law affects commercial establishments – requiring signage and prohibiting the sale of biometric identifying information.
