Key Privacy Issues for 2023

The privacy landscape continues to evolve globally. In the U.S., states have taken the lead, adopting their own – often disparate – privacy laws; use of AI continues to expand with its attendant risks; cross-border data transfer compliance challenges persist; and labor market pressures have compounded a growing skills gap in the privacy arena. This article addresses these and other 2023 key data privacy issues and trends, synthesizing insights offered by privacy experts during a recent TrustArc program.
