Navigating Certification and Implementation Issues Under the U.S.-E.U. Data Privacy Framework

The European Commission’s July 2023 adequacy decision paved the way for companies to rely on the E.U.-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF) for transfers of data from the E.U. to the U.S. This article distills insights offered during a Squire Patton Boggs program on the steps that eligible companies should take to ensure that they can rely on the DPF, including certification process measures and key implementation decisions.
