Dos and Don’ts for Employee Use of Generative AI

Since ChatGPT’s public release, as generative AI (Gen AI) tools have evolved, so have companies’ rules that address how employees can use them. Many companies have given employees Gen AI dos and don’ts for the workplace and directed them to use only brand-new enterprise versions of Gen AI applications. This article examined employers’ shift in Gen AI policies and practices, including their rising attention to training and risk assessment, and presented several dos and don’ts for employees’ Gen AI use.
