IOSCO Offers Six Risk Mitigation Measures for AI and Machine Learning

To help develop guidance that ensures robust governance over the development, deployment and monitoring of AI and machine learning models, as well as appropriate transparency, the Board of the International Organization of Securities Commissions recently issued a consultation report on the use of this technology by market intermediaries and asset managers. This article discusses the key takeaways from the report, including the proposed guidance and how to mitigate AI risks. See “The Current State and Future of AI Regulation” (Jun. 17, 2020).
